Cyborg sagen: Sie!

This is an odd one. I like the dandelion with the rusty reds, peeling paint, and a sense of quiet decay. Next to it, someone added the sentence: “Cyborg sagen: Sie!”

Honestly, I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean - even in German, it doesn’t really make sense. Maybe it’s just a bit of surreal humor, or a random phrase to make you stop and look twice. Either way, it fits the strange, dreamlike feeling of the picture.

Fruit of the Lump

Sadly, sometimes I discover great street artists a bit too late. Today I stumbled across a “Fruit of the Lump” tag, looked up his work,1 and was immediately fascinated. He’s done some really interesting projects, and I especially like the ‘QRWO the Zerwane Films’ murals2. The old ORWO style—from the Magneton band cases of the 1970s3, designed by Ernst Schneider - looks fantastic as a mural mash-up.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of his art from now on.4
